A jury in Marshall, Texas, awarded a full defense verdict in favor of firm client Overhead Door Corporation finding no infringement had occurred and invalidating the plaintiff’s patents. The Chamberlain Group Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of garage door openers, sued Overhead Door Corporation accusing the company of infringing the Chamberlain Group’s patents on a “smart” garage door opener.
