Biography
Maria Zermeno is an associate at Carter Arnett Stahl + Cho Hernandez. Maria focuses her practice on commercial litigation, employment law, and intellectual property matters. Maria represents clients in a wide range of commercial disputes including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of covenants not to compete, and other business torts. Maria also has experience in employment disputes concerning claims asserted under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1981, and Texas Labor Code.
Prior to joining Carter Arnett Stahl + Cho Hernandez, Maria served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Brian McKay, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Northern District of Texas. During her clerkship, Maria was exposed to complex commercial and civil litigation, gaining valuable insight into federal court practice and procedure.
