Biography
Monica Litle Goff is a partner at Carter Arnett Stahl + Cho Hernandez. Monica represents businesses, governmental entities, corporate officers, and individuals across a range of employment, complex civil, and business litigation matters including breach of contract, breach of covenants not to compete, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets, and other business torts. Monica has obtained successful results for her clients at every stage of litigation in both state and federal court.
Monica has expertise in all phases of employment-related litigation including administrative proceedings and actions filed in federal and state court. Monica advises clients on and resolves disputes concerning claims asserted under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Federal Labor Standards Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1983, Texas Whistleblower Act, Texas Payday Act, and Texas Labor Code.
Prior to joining Carter Arnett Stahl + Cho Hernandez, Monica served as a judicial intern to Judge Catharina Haynes at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Career Law Clerk to the Honorable Amos L. Mazzant, III in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and Law Clerk to the Honorable K. Nicole Mitchell, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. During her time with the court, Monica was exposed to a variety of criminal and civil cases, including Title VII, § 1983, patent, and complex commercial litigation.
